  • Directed City’s response, outreach, testing and vaccination efforts during COVID-19 pandemic
    • Held weekly COVID-19 Situational Updating Press Briefings with key City Cabinet Heads and Baystate Health President and CEO Dr. Mark Keroack and Mercy Medical Center Chief Medical Officer Dr. Robert Loose
    • Created the nationally recognized (Ebony Magazine) Vax Force to increase awareness and dispel misinformation of the COVID-19 vaccine
    • Oasis Food Pantry distribution at Central High School
    • Home Grown Springfield grad and go meals for Springfield residents and students
    • Secured much-needed and lifesaving PPE’s for city workers
    • Provided at-home testing kits for residents and city employees
    • Provided meals for seniors
  • Opioid Settlement Agreement – city will receive $7.2 million from Massachusetts Attorney General
  • Project Rescue – partnered with numerous community agencies and organizations to promote and respond to public health and mental health issues including homeless and panhandlers
  • Homeless outreach taskforce
  • Opened new Senior Fitness Center in North End
